IFA stands ready to work with Members of Congress to enact much-needed comprehensive reform to the currently unworkable immigration system. Congress must address the employment needs of the franchise industry, particularly its seasonal need for temporary lower-skilled workers in industries where franchise businesses are concentrated, such as restaurants, hotels, and other service-related businesses. IFA encourages a plan that recognizes employer needs for temporary low-skilled workers, and implements an effective and easy-to-use employment verification (e-verify) system that safeguards employers.
